Foray through the meteorite collection and research at the NHM Vienna
Abstract:
The lecture will report on the renewed meteorite collection at the Natural History Museum Vienna which is not only the largest permanent exhibition of meteorites but also the world oldest and one of the largest collections in terms of meteorite specimens. Connected to the collection is a variety of public outreach activities and active research covering different meteorite types to accessory minerals and even micrometeorites.
