JOANNEUM RESEARCH in their Institute for Digital Technologies – DIGITAL – holds seven subgroups, one of them ‘Telecommunications, Navigation and Signal Processing’ (TNS). TNS since decades is active in improving satellite communications and satellite navigation. For example this refers to analysis of always even higher frequency bands, today up to W-band, in experimental and theoretical studies.  In satellite navigation the robustness against threats like jamming and spoofing has become a serious issue, which TNS is addressing. With nationally supported projects, activities for the European Space Agency (ESA) and commercial customers, TNS has always been on the forefront in its field of science. Cooperations for academic theses,  education of apprentices and interns, and scientific publications round up the portfolio of TNS.
